Mate, they are the worse company for cancelling ever!

Cancelled 3 on me now....they put up the date, you get the time off work, money sorted etc etc...then they pull the date off the website.

(just so happens that usually a bike day has taken overrolleyes)

Same happened to me last year for a Silverstone day. They decided to turn it into a motorbike day a couple of weeks before the track day. I'd already made plans, booked a B&B etc.

I don't plan to use them again to be honest.

I genuinely feel for you. And it's wrong when they state everywhere that they refuse to issue any refunds. Makes you feel like they're doing a runner with your cash.

The first event I booked with FE was cancelled with little more than 12 hours to go. I had a brand new car and was desperate to get out in it. I rebooked for Snetterton back in February and it was the worst track day ever, with about 80 cars on an OPL event, severely limiting track time.

But then went back yesterday with FE to Snetterton and it was probably the best track day I've ever done and with much friendlier staff there. However, I only booked it at the start of the week and they refused to tell me how many other people had booked.

It's a shame, and I wonder how much longer FE will last with car track days. I hear a lot of complaints about them.

That's pretty bad that they don't offer a proper refund under such circumstances. I used them for the first time about 5 weeks ago at snetterton ... seemed a little draconian in the briefing tbh - i left feeling nervous about even farting out on the track! i appreciate their stance is for everyone's benefit, but i've never heard it delivered without compassion or humour (after all, we are still customers). their attitude of giving priority to the majority of either cars or bikes is poor and screws around with peoples plans as mentioned by others. i won't be booking with Focused Events again and thanks for informing me of this practice.

... just been browsing their facebook and website - seem to be popular with a few bikers, but not many car drivers lol. after examining their terms and conditions more closely, ... they really are 'taking the mickey'!!

These guys are always doing this. I got caught out last year and will never use them again, due to the huge inconvenience when they decide to cancel.

But I did get a full refund.

You should too. At the end of the day you bought and paid for a product which was a track day, on a specific circuit, on a specific day of a specific format. They cannot deliver on that transaction and you should be entitled to a full refund.

Push them for it. Good luck

even if their Ts and Cs say no refunds, they struggle to enforce it (albeit that they have your money). I'd just ask for it back and if they won't then go via the credit card company.

This is important. It would be thrown out of court - if they refuse a refund take them to small claims, you'll easily win. Companies can't simply put anything they want in T&Cs and it automatically becomes binding - it has to be reasonable.

I don't know why FE seem so problimatical, maybe the tracks shoudl start to look at the TO's but saying that it seems that FE are the only ones who get the bad press over isues such as this.

I have not called them but would have expected a mail in return to my request, they don't even send out confirmations after three days as they state.

Will call them Monday, I can't do another track day with them this year due to where I live, I alreaady booked August with them.

I don't use FE anymore because I too was at the "Snetterton Pit Lane Car Park Track Day" in Feb and once bitten etc..
We pay a lot of money to run our cars at these track days and without a professional team running the day it can lead to all sorts of problems ...

Perhaps they had a bad day in feb , but im not going to pay to find out.

But that's just my opinion .

Good News I have got a mail back with refund to card, so at least I don't have to be looking to use the refund/credit note. I am very restricted due to where I am.

I think Feb was a nightmare for all, never mind the sunny season is soon here.
