Hello Noble population, (first: sorry for my english) I need advice about my sump.

I need to decide must CHEAP, EASY and SAFE cure for my sump.

99% of Noble people have a track day sump: no cheap, yes easy, yes safe.

Accusump: mid cheap, yes easy (but not sure where connect it), mid safe.

Sump baffle: high cheap, yes easy, mid safe.

Someone have a pics about accusump or sump baffle in a Noble?

Thank you to everybody for the help and for the precius infos share.

Regards from sunny Italy.

Hi Alberto , the problem with the std sump is capacity , the Noble track day sump holds another 3 litres of oil which stops the engine getting starved of oil in my opinum this is the best way to go , fitting a accusump is a pain and they are supposed to inject oil in the event of low pressure , i had one fitted on my Ultima and i bloody hated it !!! as they discharge when you turn on the ignition to pre oil the engine but when the engine starts it is overfilled with oil which can cause all sorts of issues !!! Thank you king Tux bow

Now I have understand....

Baffle don't works.

Accusump have some important negative issues.

Cheap alternative is buy an used sump to modify or use an sump spacer. My self it's possible make a 20mm spacer... 2 litre... but i have to cut the alloy pannel under the engine.

Spacer:

You need more than just capacity - you really need two things. First, you need enough capacity so that the sump doesn't run dry if oil gets stuck in the front cover or in the heads during high-G maneuvers. Second, you need to control the oil so that it doesn't move away from the oil pickup under G-forces from any direction (turning, acceleration, braking). For that, you need well designed baffles.

A spacer will add capacity (but only if you extend the oil pickup to reach the very bottom of the sump), but won't do anything at all about oil slosh.

I would suggest that you just go with the track day sump - its already been used on the track successfully. Sure, it's more expensive than building something yourself, but it's cheaper than replacing the engine if you build something yourself and miss any of the details...
