New 2011 Subaru STI - are the engine problems solved?

Anyone know if Subaru did any work on the 2.5 engine to sort out the problems that plagued the 2007-on hatch STI's?

They never officially acknowledged the original fault, or any of the various other Subaru faults that have appeared across the range over the years.

I'd personally give Subaru UK and IM a very, very wide berth due to their contempt towards customers and woefully inadequate dealers.

(I've owned 4 new Subaru's before the Subaru fan boys appear)

If you really have to buy one, then buy an import from somewhere like Litchfields.

2.5 Failures only happened on early models of Hatch (Well the ones I have done anyway) - no problems heard so far from 2011MY cars.

Nor are the JDM ones, depending on where you buy it.........
