Okay, I am now actively looking for a T350C. What are peoples thoughts on this car?
I know colour is individual, but are dark green cars hard to shift (when the time comes)??
Has alot of history and engine going strong.

Any advice welcomed.

I wouldnt touch it. The milage is too high without an engine rebuild, unless your prepared for a Power rebuild at 6k plus!
Colour is great, the best imo but very expensive if you want those stonechips painted.
Pay a little more and get one around 20k milage, and late 2004 onwards.

I don't agree, it's a 2004, yes the mileage is high but i think this has been reflected in the asking price, just be aware it "could" go bang so make sure you have some cash put aside.

As for the colour, i think it looks good and you wouldn't struggle to sell it on.

Whats the highest milage you've heard a Speed Six have before it needs a rebuild?
The highest ive heard of is 60k, not long to go then!
Im not saying it wont go on for long enough, but i wouldnt buy it, take a look at the red tvr t350 with a rebuild, not much difference in price, and from a well known Tvr dealer, this is what i would buy, although i much prefare reflex charcoal as a colour!

Just because the highest mileage you have heard of is 60k doesn't mean it will definately go at that, it could go on for another 20k. And as i said, i think the price reflects the mileage, most 2004 models are around the 20-24k mark, that covers a re-build, as long as the buyer is aware and has the means should this happen.

It has certainly been for sale for a while, but this might mean the seller is keen to do a deal. As for the engine, just get it checked over by a good garage (same for the rest of the car). This colour looks nice in the flesh.

However, IMO if you're buying the cheapest TVR on the market and expect it to not cost much to keep tiptop then think again.

A factory speed six engine is just as likely to go at 5k than at 50k, it's all about what components went in it and how it's been treated, though I agree I'd still want a couple of grand off the price compared to a car with 20k on it,

though with a standard rebuild and warranty you could add 5k to the price if car is in good condition.

for me it would be an ideal car if I could get it for a few grand under a similar lower mileage car, then I would use it till it went pop(some of these S6 engines have done 70+k now without rebuilds and if it's lasted to 50+k it's one of the better ones components wise) then put the few grand i've saved to a 4.5 rebuild which would probably add 5-10k to the price and make it one hell of a car

I think for that price you get what you will see. It looks to be priced accordingly so you pays your money and takes your choice. If you want a garage queen then that probably isnt the car for you. As for the mileage just because its done a few miles doesnt mean it is going to let go. I would speak to whoever last serviced it and make a judgement from that. I paid a lot less than that for my T350 and I got a good car for what I want it for. Just keep a fund by for if it plays you up

Also, while I was out today in the TVR I was thinking about my planned trips this summer - one trip to Italy and another to Austria, these will put 5,000 miles on my T350. It is on 26k at the moment. ooo it will be over 30k miles by the end of the year, therefore it is only worth 5p. Not. You see many of these miles are spent on long journeys, not short Sunday posing trips. The engine hardly wears at all cruising on the autoroute at 85mph, oil and coolant nice and warm, no clutch/gear/brake use. So a 50k car may not have any more engine 'wear' than a 25k car that has been a weekend toy and not done long trips.

Take your time and dont rush into buying, if your knowledge is not too great, get someone to check it out, theres a few who offer this service, go to your local tvrcc meet and talk to the guys there, but a 2004 onwards model with air con, better for re-sale.
I just sold mine but there should be more on the market with the sun out now.

It's not high mileage, it's average, in fact, below average if you want to be picky - 8,378 miles per year, which, in my opinion, means it's been driven enough for everything to be ironed out and fixed, which is probably a better position to be in than some 2,000 miles per year car, providing the money has been spent to keep in it good nick !

And the price reflects the mileage - £2k below similar mileage, one year older, dealer car (which I know very well...)

It's all about the condition and the receipts for me - it either stacks up as a well looked after, good value for money car, with proven history, or it doesn't, and if the engine has lasted 58k without a re-build, then it's possibly not suffering from the original Speed6 issues where nearly all the failures happened much much earlier.

These are high performance cars - anything can go bang and give you a big bill, so just make sure your head rules your heart.

My 2p worth, hope it helps.
