Hi guys
A problem has occurred that is very strange. It appears that the ECU in my friend's M12 GTO is NOT and MBE one despite Mole Valley saying they fitted one. Yellowshed in Essex (well known on here) diagnosed that the wiring loom was not the correct one to be an MBE. All of which means the flat spot at 4800rpm that the car has had for 3-4 months could not be tuned out.

Can someone advise what to do? Re mapping the current ECU is only done by a couple of specialists miles away from west London. How much is an MBE ECU and where would be the best place to get one and then remap to that?

With any luck that will cure the flat spot issue that has thwarted this car for months.

Bondy, I have spoken to you on the phone before about this car so if you have any advice I'd appreciate it!
Cheers

Lawrence

Thanks Kevin - the search continues though...

Don't suppose anyone has a spare wiring loom for an MBE ECU?
Preferably both for a 2.5l.

As I said on the phone, I went through this and ended up with an aftermarket ecu meaning that anyone who knows how to map can sort the car out. However this is at a cost of +2k

The other option was to speak to Ray at ray west tuning as I belive he might be able to do something. I'm sure he suggested to me to just send the ECU to him to sort out? Have you called him yet?

Cheers Bondy.

We are on the case with Ray, asking if we could RR it this weekend on the way from London to Dorset and diagnose the problem.
Here's hoping.
