Wheel nuts

My wheels are off at the moment so the nuts were thrown into a box which already contained older nuts where the chrome plating had deteriorated.
I now notice that I have a mix of nut lengths and don't know which are the most recent.

The difference in length is in the machined paralell barrel. I have some at 25.4 (1") and some at 28.6 (1.125").

Can anyone tell me which are the most recent?

mine have a 1 inch length of shoulder which goes those through the wheel hole..

this is without the tapered washer and the wheels are ultima not image. To double check push the nut through the hole and make sure it doesnt stick out of the wheel/hub surface.
