Hi guys been a member if pistonhheads for a while now just bought my first E39 M5 73 k fsh etc picking it up tomorrow any tips or advice etc thanks

Fill it up with petrol and drive as fast as you can for as long as you can......then repeat again and again and again etc etc etc etc etc etc etc........

Use it and enjoy. Keep a little pot of money for surprises and get a Tesco credit card because you will get double point on momentum. After a year of having mine I have replaced the rear mufflers with straight through pipes and it's chuffing awesome. Get a stock of oil too. They are brilliant cars, well done

As above all mine needed really is tyres oil and petrol! 2 years later it still brings a smile, aided by supersprint exhaust and decats most likely

Only extras i would like is the upgrade to the newer widescreen nav system etc and possible angel eye front lights
going to keep her pretty standard apart from that only 70k with one owner and i love it already
