I have had a Chimaera 400&500 and loved them both, however I picked up my Cerb 4.5 LW yesterday and what a machine! (sorry no pics) I drove over 250 miles and ran out of fuel due to the fuel guage telling me a small porkie that she had some left, however all was forgiven within 5 minutes of driving it again. No lazy low down torque or burble just a hard charging machine that proved its shocking ability on both A roads and the motorway. Looking back the Cerb is such a significant step up from the Chim that you have to take you hats off to TVR for such an achievement with limited resources. So when politicians bang on about the "special relationship" that we have with other jurisdictions they have no understanding of the meaning, only those that have a Cerb do! I am sure we will have our ups and downs but at the end of the day we are a team committed to each other! Hopefully I will get out to some meets this year.

Welcome aboard. I came from 2 Chimaeras to a Cerbera, and your description sums it up perfectly. It's nothing like driving the torquey, 'lazy' V8's - the Cerb really is a hard charging machine that has to be driven to be appreciated.
You'll find ownership far less of a nightmare than you may have been worried about, and with this forum and the help you get from everyone, there won't be anything that you can't fix.

3rd chim to cerb owner here too! Yeah such a different drive to the low down torque v8 chim it really needs to be worked to get it to move and the long chassis is so good on our poor roads over the chim i love it too!!

I had a chim before my cerberas. Back in 98 I was at a track day, in the Chim, where a Cerb owner broke down, the TVR factory guys offered him their silver Chim 400 to use and he said he would rather not bother. At the time I thought it strange but now I understand!

I still think it's strange they're still great cars. If they'd offered me some of the other cars I can think of, I might not have accepted, but a Chimaera can deliver lots of fun! All imho of course
