I've never seen one of those Bob; but I did have a 280SE W108 many moons ago which had a column change and mechanical injection; it was a flier! I made the mistake of giving it to my dad for the weekend as I had the head off his XJ6. He had it for 6 months!

It seems kind of strange to put a column change on a car with a centre console. But the Americans love this, so maybe that was the intended market.
