HPD question

Pardon my ignorance but what are these ligths for on the Strakka HPD?

OK, 2 thoughts, are they illumination for the cars cockpit area straight ahead, orrrrr, are they perhaps, like the Fabermeyer Porsche, which runs a blue light in the windscreen, as an indicator for the pits that it's their car approaching.

Thats what i assumed they were for, so in the dark, pits, commentators etc can identify from the front as roll bar and mirror colours arn't that easy to see......
