Hi Guys,

Had an eventful sunday due to my stupidity...

Been faffing around with the fueling of my ls7 and think I got it creacked now...then decided to look at my oil tank to try to check the level in the tank...but it is nigh impossible with the baffle grid in there...shone a light and seemed to be very low down below the baffle grid.

What the hell made me add a another pint in I don't know... but I paid for it!

Started the engine...fine..... errr then shortly after the engine started to make a 'clicking sound' - Wassat! I thought and promtly shut it down!

...and then realised that I had managed to spray copious quantitied of oil all over the firewall, over into the cab, the front fans....the dash....

....aaaargh

The breather pipes were not connected at the time and so they had unceremoniously acted as hose pipes liberally and enthusiastically spraying all over the car!

DAYAMMM!

And so....how the hell do we properly monitor oil levels in an LS7 without having to drain and refill with the appropriate (I think)7.xxx litres each time??

Anyone suggest something? Anyone added a sight gauge to their tank?

A very oily Keith
