We want to visit London next week as tourists.

Does anyone have a good idea how to travel to the centre ? We want to drive down M1 or M40, then either park somewhere on the outskirts and catch a tube or simply drive into London and find a car park, which might be easier said than done....

Can anyone suggest the best solution ?

Thanks, in advance.

Park in St Albans and get the train from there to St Pancras. Takes the stress out of the journey, and St Albans is a nice place to have a wander around as well.

Coming down M40 I have always tended to use Rayner's Lane station, only a couple of miles off the A40 and just inside the M25.

Always plenty of space in the car park when I've used it.

Thanks, Cyder, FIF, those are two good options for us.
