Planning on spending a night in Portree in June. Can anyone recommend any good b&b's/Hotels for the night? Preferably not too far from the centre

When i went we just stayed in a local b&b which was ok but nothing special, But we had meals and a few drinkies at this place and it is almost smack bang in the centre, One of the better places in Portee http://www.bosvillehotel.co.uk/index.asp If the accommodation is as good as the rest of the pub then i could highly recoomend this place.

I'll say this though Skye is a fantastic place but Portree how can i say can get a bit lively, The locals love a drink and when we went a scuffle broke out amongst the local off duty coppers in a hotel that has a late bar.

Dont let me put you off they were very friendly people but a bit rough around the adges.

have fun.

Went there a couple of years back but we were on bikes and the stop was last minute so ended up sleeping in a cupboard in the Isles Inn. The breakfast was ok but I'd like something a bit more boutique/classy before we rough it afterwards on a camping trip.

I was there some while back (3 yrs) on our little Highland "Grand Tour" and whilst it was in a fantastic location thought it a bit soulless and the food not good.

Interestingly, on Trip Advisor it seems to polarise opinions - when it's good it's great, when it's not, it's awful seems to be the view.
