Prosport oil recommendations
Discussion
If it's a busa - Silkolene PRO 4 15w-50 Full Synthetic Ester 4-Stroke Engine Oil , which is what Powertec recommend.
I buy it from here - http://www.opieoils.co.uk/showproduct.aspx?Product...
Used to be able to buy from the Radical website (at a surpringly competitive price) but seems to have been removed recently from the online catalogue.

Hi all,
Please can anyone advise which oil to use for a prosport and also how frequesntly you may change it?

Everyone has their own opinion/preferences but I'd say as a rule of thumb after every race weekend of practice, qualy and couple of 20 min races or after every second trackday i.e. say 6/7/8-ish hours 'not totally launching and/or pinning it' running. Please can anyone advise which oil to use for a prosport and also how frequesntly you may change it?

Opie oils have it at less than the cost of Shell from Radical.

??? I can't see either the Shell 15W-50 engine or 75W-90 gear oil on Opie, but maybe I'm just missing it?
Opie sell the Silkolene cheaper than Radical sell the Shell. Opie don't have the Shell atm.

Now I understand ............ thought I was just missing it as I'm definitely having one of those 'half-cock' days. SWMBO has gone away for a few days, so down I went to Sainsburys tonight to buy a couple of 'TV Dinners' - yep they're rubbish, but no point dicking around cooking when there's the opportunity for some completely undisturbed 'car fettling'.Opie sell the Silkolene cheaper than Radical sell the Shell. Anyhow, I had some sort of indecision lock-up at the freezer section - could I decide whether to buy a Roast Lamb Dinner or a Cottage Pie or a Shepherds Pie or an Admirals Pie? - could I hell.
So I bought one of each - and stopped off on the way back at McD's for a Big Mac Large Meal Deal .......... I was too knackered by all that decision (non-decision) making to be reading instructions on the back of the pack and working out which way the knobs on the oven are supposed to turn and what they mean.

Apologies for going off topic, but sad (particularly given Degsy winning it in 2009 and Ross K in 2010) that the move to Shell (away from Silkolene & more specifically Sunoco) means that Rad drivers are no longer eligible for the Sunoco Challenge; this season the drivers who are eligible for the 2011 Daytona Sunoco Challenge are coming from the British Formula 3 International Series, British GT Championship and the Britcar MSA British Endurance Championship.
Aside from which I shall miss having the occasional regular chat with Anders of Sunoco - such a nice chap.
