quick question.......

What sort of power is a 1996 top spec MX5 producing? Encountered a mint looking BRG MX5 with a cream interior tonight, surprisingly quick, It had BBS on the back with a PH Sticker. TBH I was in a hurry but it made up the space alarmingly fast.
( if it was you on the A2 to Dover about 16:30hrs (distinguished looking chap!) It was nice to see some really good driving from a fellow petrolhead. 60secs of super efficent driving!

BBS? Are you sure it wasn't BBR? Having said that, BBR Turbo was an earlier 1.6 thing.
Mk1 1.6 (JDM and UK to 94) = 114bhp
Mk1 1.6 (UK only from 95) = 88bhp
Mk1 1.8 (all markets 94 onwards) = 128 to 133bhp (depending on year/market).
Mk1 1.6 BBR Turbo = 150bhp
Aftermarket = anything from below stock to whatever money can buy!!!
