Grinding/rubbing noise from front passenger wheel?
Discussion
Hi all,
My 98 Nissan Almera has started making a weird noise this week. It sounds as if something is rubbing/grinding from the front passenger wheels. The symptoms are as follows:
- Makes a lot of noise in 1st, 2nd and 3rd gear but less so in 4th and even less in 5th
- Makes the noise when travelling straight or turning a corner.
- I've noticed a slight whirring noise when I put the clutch down. In neutral the car seems ok
What could this be? Wheel bearing? driveshaft? of gearbox?
I'm at work now and have got the AA out to come and check and make sure all is safe - not too bothered about the noise unless its unsafe.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks
