AUX for CDX-M670 unit?
Discussion
Hi guys,
I have been trying to search to find out if the CDX-M670 sony headunit has an AUX input in the back of it?
Just want to connect my Ipod/Iphone up to it to save the bumpy CD's
Haven't managed to open it up and look in the back yet so was wondering had anyone else managed to do this for the CDX-M670.
Thanks
Steve

If this is the same one I have with the completely black front, disconnect the phono from the HU to the CD changer and replace with a phono-to 3.5mm jack lead. Make sure you have a CD you don't care about on loop in the changer and when you select the CD changer you'll get the sound from whatever is plugged into the jack lead.

will look into this.I fitted one of these a couple of months ago :

It's pretty good for 90 sheets. You can plug your ipod in the front, or use a USB stick or an SD card ( I've found it wont read some 2GB cards however ) or you can connect via bluetooth.
Plus it allowed me to removed the CD autochanger behind the passenger seat and install some 6"x9" speakers in it's place.

Got trying this last night and have to say worked really well thanks!
Great how it works with the phone voice through the speakers also when someone phones. Ordered up a little cradle to hold it at the front, and I will get the jack wire neatly run around under the passenger seat. Get a charger running to it also if i can without making a wirey mess.
Thanks for this.

Hi all, I have the same model and purchased the SONY (off brand/brand X) cord so that I could connect a 3.5 mm wire. When I have the unit on CD (with the CD playing), connecting the iPod freezes the head unit. Unplugging the iPod causes the head unit to turn off. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.
