HELP - wireless connection giving me a coronary!
Discussion
I have historically had a bad internet connection with Orange, and used HomePlugs to connect to the PS3 as my router is in the loft-conversion upstairs.
I was getting speeds of 0.9meg.
So I had a re-jig, brought the router down-stairs (literally yards from the PS3) and plugged it into the master-socket. Hoorah, getting 2.8meg, much better.
So, connect to the PS3 wirelessly (all excited at my new great speed) and all is fine. Connection status states I have a 95% signal - great stuff.
So, lets sign-in to PSN.....5 minutes later it just about manages it....hmm.
Let's try BBC Iplayer....jumpy stream, ends up freezing and telling me "this page cannot be displayed".
Let's download the PlayTV update....0%....0%....0%....nothing.
And, in anticipation of you asking why not use connect it with ethernet, my wife does not want more cables trailing about the place (can't say I blame her).

what other wireless networks are around?
I'd pug it in with a wire just to verify that it is actually the wireless that is the problem. If so then do a quick check to see what other wireless networks are around - are you getting interference? You may improve things by changing channels
