AA Parts and Warranty cover

I'd read here before that people had used the AA parts and garage cover with good results. This is the cover that costs about £50 and covers the first £500 of any parts and garage costs that result from a breakdown where you call the AA out.
I've just tried to take it out and it won't cover me. Is this because they won't cover a TVR??

It's good - saved me over £300 this year.

I've posted on here often to push said warranty, no contacts by the way. I've had it for about 10 years, on a Prodrive Scooby/Caterham 7/Ibiza tdi/Elise/Bora tdi/Leon tdi.
They do stipulate that the car has to be less than 10 years old, and less than 100k miles when you take out the cover, but after that will continue to cover you, as long as the service record for the vehicles are spot on. Obviously the price will be higher at that point.
The last time I spoke to the AA chap who I called out under the policy he did say that the AA still made money on the scheme, maybe that's changing.
Max I've paid for the cover, for 3 cars is £90/year. Saved me about £1350 last year, 3 claims, but they did apply a £50 surcharge for using the service ??????........didn't really understand that bit, and was on the point of calling customer services for an explanation, but being £1350 up on the deal, couldn't be ars*d.
For the OP, how old is the car/mileage, and to follow stereotypes, "well it is a TVR, what do you expect". Seriously thought, if it complies with the 10 year/100k/full service history, there is nothing in the warranty rules that I can remember that actually excludes a TVR, why would it, they are as much mainstream as a 7 or an Elise.
Good luck with the AA customer services though, awfull IMO.
