Now I'm doing this racing, I guess I need a site to promote myself etc and try getting some sponsorship in. Now while IT savvy, I have never dabbled with web sites, and who where you host them etc? Anyone into this sort of thing?

Dude,

If you're up for a beer sometime, then I'd be happy to meet up, have a chat and help out thumbup

Although, that said, I'm sure most of the SAS would be / could muck in (both technically and inbibically (if such a word exists)).

Basic but it seems to work smile

I had same thought, did mine on iWeb and used the web spae I get with Mobile Me, didn't take long (and isn't that good hehe) www.speedsix.co.uk

I also looked at doing a blog on Wordpress so I could easily update from iphone and was minimal hassle, links from my site

Try www.milkshakedesign.com. I found them through a recommendation on PH and they have given us excellent results. We had spent a lot of money with another company but had no SEO returns until we went with milkshake. We are now starting to see a return on the money we have spent and feature high in the organic Google listings.

Does that include managing it and updates biggrin I have been offered a host too, but happy to have as many sponsors as possible. Things are getting rather expensive, tyre prices are making me cry!

Also have some suggestions for Snett hotels.

Take off the full stop from the web-address and it works

Yep happy to do whatever really, I do Mike's Cerbera Racing one:

http://www.cerberav8racing.co.uk/

Site itself can remain fairly static and we have changed his recently to use facebook feed from his team page to show latest comments etc from him. Works quite well as a news feed. I'll update the text on his once or twice a year and maybe load some new photos in the gallery, he just then posts updates and comments on FB.
