Occasionally while driving, I feel the clutch pedal slightly lose pressure but returns back to normal straight away. Otherwise everything feels normal. Cant see any oil under bellhousing or oil in footwell...not yet anyway. Going to check fluid level but any ideas?
It could be as simple as air in the system. When was the last time the clutch fluid was changed? Bleeding would be the first port of call I would suspect.
If the fluid is high don't completely rule out a leak or air in the system. mine is leaking and the fluid stays full. I get a floppy pedal when the car is cold but when it warms up the pedal feels normal again as the fluid/air heats up and expands.
I would have a guess that the master cylinder return spring is broken, I've had two of these go now and it's a shame you can't just buy a replacement spring instead of buying the whole unit. Cheap and easy fix though if it is this.
I'll try bleeding it.
