Wiring nightmare Air cond..
Discussion
Before you start rewiring, I would pull the AC relay and wrap a wire on the 86 tag, plug the relay back in. Turn the heat control til you hear the micro switch operate, then tap the wire onto a good ground. That should op the fan and clutch. (and prove your electrics)
ETA ignition on and blower fan running.

I'd be VERY careful about doing this; I've seen more than one occurrence where the 85 and 86 have been swapped! So much for convention...ETA ignition on and blower fan running.

.... possibly stick a testlamp in 85 & 86 then put the wire on the one without 12v on it.ivan segal said:
Hi:
I must be loosing my mind...I cannot find the yellow black wire either into or out of the air cond. pump...I only find the black ground lead is it way under the pump?
Please advise..

The AC pump doesn't have a ground wire. (on almost any car) That black is your black/yellowI must be loosing my mind...I cannot find the yellow black wire either into or out of the air cond. pump...I only find the black ground lead is it way under the pump?

. It is black because it is a part of the pump not a bit of the TVR wiring loom. It should go to the blue multi connector. If in doubt tap it out to the AC condenser fan live. You should find it is common and ultimately goes to a contact on the AC relay.Edited by jeff m on Wednesday 13th April 21:27
