Ferry travel between Liverpool and Dublin

I will be travelling from Liverpool to Dublin this evening.

Just a quick ask before I begin packing stuff as to what I have to pack where?!

I'm taking the car - will they want to check luggage? What about checking hand luggage etc...?

Is it like flying where I have to bag up liquids?!

Pack everything into the car. I assume it is an overnight ferry so just pack what you need overnight into your hand luggage. You don't need to do anything special with liquids and gels.

Security may give your car the once over but they generally are more worried about fuel cans than whats in your luggage.
