Edited so all who can't seem to read unless it has been writtern in paragraphs, and please except my sincerest appologies!!!!
I was getting ready for work the other day when there was a knock at the front door. My girlfriend answered it and after a minute called me, saying there's someone at the door for you.
I came to the door to find a neighbour looking rather pissed off, asking what I was thinking when I wrote the note? I didn't have a clue what he was talking about and told him this. He then asked if I knew anything about the note that had been put under the windscreen wiper of his daughters new car. Again I told him no, and he just looked at me trying to gauge whether I was telling the truth or not.
I asked him what it said and he showed me. Scanning it quickly I got the gist of it and had to laugh, he was not happy and didn't find it amuzing. From what I'd read a neighbour wasn't happy that this car was 'always parked outside their house' and 'blocking their driveway', which is probably why he thought it was me as it was parked opposite our drive, the note went on to say how 'you don't even live on this street!' and 'there's no wonder that no-one has damaged it yet'.
After a brief chat with the guy he went over the road to the house opposite me, more commonly known as 'the clampits' by the neighbours. After 2 minutes there was hell on. Yes it was obviously them who had left the note.
Now I could understand if this car was actually causing an obstruction, but it was just parked normally on the street. Also the car had only been bought a week before and was only parked there for two days and only on the evenings. Not to mention the fact that the neighbours who had left the note, are probably the most anti-social, messiest, neighbours I've ever lived near. They block the road with inconsiderate parking and once a week block the entire pavement when they jam their overflowing wheely bins in between their VW Sharon (parked on the other half of the pavement) and their wall.
Their father who comes over to visit at weekends parks blocking any driveway if there isn't space to park within a few meters of his daughters house. I've had to ask him to move it numerous times now so I can get in or out of our driveway, as has the guy who came over to ask about the note. I was very suprised to see it was them who had left the note and have been trying to figure out if they were just completely oblivious to the problems they cause or just plain ignorant/arrogant and live by the rule... Do as I say, not as I do.

i had this problem a while back. parked on a public road, no parking restrictions, in a car with MOT, insurance and tax. bloke came out asking me to move his car from outside his house because i was parked outside his house. i told him he didn't own that piece of land and my road tax entitles me to park there.
he then decided to tell me i should move it for 2 reasons....he didn't like having to look at it from inside his house (to which i replied i'm not forcing you to look out of your window all day long) and secondly....he'd block me in. he did in fact block me in, he has 2 cars so parked them both really close infront of, and behind me.
so....2 mates of mine came round, one parked really close infront of the front car, and another really close behind the back car. we left notes on the windscreens saying "checkmate"
he wasn't very happy, miserable f

he then decided to tell me i should move it for 2 reasons....he didn't like having to look at it from inside his house (to which i replied i'm not forcing you to look out of your window all day long) and secondly....he'd block me in. he did in fact block me in, he has 2 cars so parked them both really close infront of, and behind me.

I re-typed it pressing enter and then pressed space five times, to make an indent, not realising the spaces would be removed, I thought this would be enough, I didn't realise that I need to break it up into sections for you to read it. Once again I apologise to all who have been offended by my lack of understanding of forum etiquette, but I'm not editing it again, if you can't read it now then i'd suggest some reading classes/glasses!!!

Forgive me if I'm wrong but isn't this a motoring forum, not a spelling, grammar, or punctuation forum. I didn't post this to confirm my crap typing, spelling, grammar skills. Also I'm sure they don't teach typing in forum post boxes at IT classes, however I was taught when writing a paragraph to start a new line and make an indent, not to press enter twice.I do see how if you couldn't read it the first time, that you wouldn't be able to read it now, it doesn't make much difference at all to how it looks or reads. If you've been on here for 9 months, then you'd know by now that spelling / grammar / legibility are sacrosanct things on these forums!
