top speed limited?

does anyone know if these fine cars wot we drive are limited to a factory set speed? i note mine has a top speed of 174, but will it actually do that or has some nanny state bureaucrat employee restricted it to something less. if it is restricted, is there a shady garage in the depths of maidenhead or the surrounding environs that will derestrict it?

Porsche are the only Geramn car manufacter who do not limit top speed.

I have seen 170 on my car.

The highest I have seen on a C4S is an indicated 177 on the dial however if you have a passenger with a handheld GPS you get a reading of 174 on the GPS
Mabey a driver and pasenger diet is in order;-)
