How to get hold of a foxy lady?

I'm sure I'm not the only one who has thought about having some photos of the TVR with an attractive young lady posed up next to it, especially when pics turn up like the ones on the 'TVR eye candy' thread (4Lmike).
How do people go about this without it costing a Vogue/supermodel budget and without sounding like a purveyor/collector of Razzle magazine? I can't imagine any model accepting a gig from just any bloke who asks.

Would one have to go through a professional photographer which would become expensive?

Any thoughts, advice or opinions?

If your photography is reasonably good, you might actually be able to get someone to pose for portfolio pics either model or model+photographer (have a look at somewhere like www.deviantart.com to see if there's anyone near you who might be interested).

Or how about offering the car to local camera club/art school for a day/evening? They provide the model(s), everyone gets a few shots (yourself included)... so to speak.
Added benefits being access to better lighting rigs and other photographers likely to be willing to share their images with you after the event.

A model normally charges about £100/day + expenses for photographic/promotion work, not sure on the snapper but if you are serious PM me. I provided support for a few race series so have a few contacts.

The pics I have seen would suggest they may pay you rather than you pay them.

I knew a couple of people who used to do this, believe me, they'll usually be willing to do it for free to add to their portfolios. Google for UK aspiring models or something like that, and I suspect you'll get some interest... Unfortunately the couple that I know now charge quite a bit, and I've lost touch with one of them.
