TVRCC Herts & Beds: Croydon, car show, 19th June - number
Discussion
Hi folks
A new event for June in place of the usual meeting for that month!
Croydon Village have a combined fate and classic car show every year that has something for all the family! BBQs, live music, pony rides and bouncy castles are only some of a number of stalls and events that are on offer!
We have been invited to attend this year by Nicky (aka Amazon) who is on the committee. So, lets have a great day out & support this local event! Attendance for display cars (i.e. us) is free!
More details on this event can be found at http://www.croydon-village.co.uk
If you are interested, please put your name below in the usual way
We will probably do a run in - either from Tudor Oaks - or straight to the event.
Thanks, Alex

Hi Alex and Gang
Just wanted to say that this is not a really formal event! We are just a sleepy little village and every year we arrange an event - last year we held a Car Show and it went really well, so this year bigger and better, but still very traditional and 'cosy'. Ceri likened it to a Midsomer Murders type event..... (and was a little nervous all afternoon
).
You can just decide on the day and pitch up, but if everyone liked the idea of parking together, then to get an area reserved, they just wanted an idea of how many cars. If the area only contains four cars, we can park them to form a square and picnic in the middle!
Every village green needs a gaggle of TVR's to liven up/brighten up proceedings!
But seriously, more the merrier, but very informal.

With a bit of luck my Chim should be ready; it comes out of the paint shop on June 13th. If I finish it in time I'll be there. It will be nice to see you all again and catch up.
Cheers Chas.
Alex on a seperate note was this event on the same day as our new venue meet at the Windmill in June!!I assume July will be at new venue also looking forward to Kimbolton in July and Duxford later in the year.
There is probably nothing you can do about it but is there any way you can stop them hiding us in the trees this year at Kimbolton
See you all soon

Yes, just adds to the fun!
The fate in Croydon starts at 12 and goes on till 1600, so I'm hoping we can convoy in from the Windmill maybe 1300 or something like that.
We can use the windmill as the starting off point, but I want people to try out the windmill and see what it is like as well. I don't think everyone will want to come to the fate so we can split off from the windmill and the others can stay.
Just need to check with Nicky we're ok arriving about 1300ish. I think we should be if they are happy to reserve a spot for us we can just set up shop there.
