I had The Polishing Company (http://www.thepolishingcompany.com/) in Cramlington do mine. They said that there a lot of crap on the car and it took a lot of work to get it back to the paint ready for the polish. It’s then been protected using a product from Williams (Yes the racing team - http://www.thepolishingcompany.com/ceramiccoat.htm... and is warranted for 5 years.

Compared to a solid colour the polishing is more subtle but if you examine the car all the holograms, swirl marks and 90% of the light scratches have gone. The front and rear windows have also been treated.
