320d Oil Consumption

Can anyone out there with a 320d (E90) advise on what sort of oil consumption they are seeing from their car?

I have had my 56 plate car for about 8 months and 6000 miles and it appears that in that time its used about 1.5l of oil. Its still under AUC warranty for a few months so if this is excessive I want to get it into the dealer.

Any knowledge would be appreciated

You probably dont want to hear this but, my wifes 320 dosen't use a drop between services.
The Indy garage uses Shell Helix.
Dont be to alarmed tho, have a look on E90 Post etc and you'll see that yours is using the same as a lot of others.
Maybe try a different oil?

Neither of my E90s have used oil between services.

I wouldnt massively worry personally. Currently had the same with the e36 320 petrol I run... . One type of oil, didnt move a drop. 2nd type (comma special from motorfactors) used around 1litre in less than 4k miles

Thanks for the input guys, given that its always been Main Dealer serviced and I guess its a Castrol oil thats in there (thats what i topped it up with as well) I will ask the dealer if they see that type of consumption as normal.
