What car, did you learn to drive in

Hopefully not a repost, I did search

Last night whilst thinking about what car to get my OH when she starts to learn to drive I was reminicsing about cars gone by that we never see anymore, and I thought that given the wide age range and locales of PH'ers there might be some interesting cars

I personally learn't in a boggo fiesta like this



My brother learnt in his dads van



Anyone learn in anything remotely interesting? Did learning cause you to have fond memories of an otherwise crap car?

Actually took my test in a driving instructor's Datsun Cherry

A 1988 Nissan Micra 'Collete' no less. Rusty as hell but pretty solid mechanically - I think E857BNC has now departed to the scrapyard in the sky!

An L-registration, Vauxhall Corsa 3-dr 1.2 LS - that horrible purple I think it was from memory.

The driving instructor I had (and his brother) are still running their driving school and still have Vauxhall Corsas.

My mum was driving a 1.0 HLS at the time, for me and my dad to use in the evenings and weekends, and my instructor had a 1.3i British Racing Green Cooper as his school car ..... I really didn't need to actually perform all three points of the three point turn I was asked to do - I could have done a U-Turn (or a quick handbrake turn of course )
