Coolant hose - 280i

Hi all,

i've just done something stupid!

Having got quite annoyed with the knackered state of the coolant hose from the bottom of the radiator to the water pump i took the foolish decision to hack it in half... this has resulted in increased anger as realisation dawned that these bits don't come off the shelf and i'd just chucked the offending article!!

Does anyone know what car these come off? or has anyone replaced theirs recently (ever actually?!?)?

any advice please, encroaching deadline with impending house move! its an upright rad, 1984 car.

Its the same as a Capri MK3 2.8i..

just get some hose joiners and a bit of stainless pipe made up to replace it if you cant source a new one

I did wonder if it would be the same as the Capri, however mine looked nothing like that... must have been a bodge job at some point in the past.

Thanks for the offer Dafty, i'll give the Capri option a try first rather than deprive you of one. You never know when you might need it! i'll get back to you if it all goes wrong
