SLK32 Auto dimming mirror - help!

It seems I need a new auto-dimming mirror glass for the door mirror on my SLK32 as it has become discoloured after a winter tucked up in the garage. I phoned the main dealer earlier to be told that it is £306 plus VAT and that is just the glass not the whole mirror! I've been searching on the Internet and can't find anyone supplying auto dimming glass - does anyone have any suggestions? I'd like to keep the car standard but nearly £400 for a bit of glass seems a bit steep to put it mildly!

If you can put up with a standard mirror glass that isn't the gel type self dimming one, give eurocarparts a call as i've had similar problems with Mercedes C class. They have been able to supply a standard type mirror glass for the vehicle & it only cost about £35.
