E36 328i exh on 323i
Discussion
I recently bought a 323 Convertible, it was bought with a 328 twin pipe exhaust in situe..also fitted a K&N air filter and always use Shell Optimax..feels similar to my 328s in terms of performance and sound..not much in it at all in most situations in my opinion, though it would be good to get its power output checked..supposedly 170 against the 328 192bhp

Just picked up a 323i and I understand that sticking a 328i exhaust on is a worthwhile addition. Obviously the 328i has a twin pipe and the 323i has a single, so how much of the 328i exhaust do i need? Cat back? Cat off the 328i as well? Any help appreciated- ollie
Not 100%, but I'm pretty sure the 328 is twin pipe right from the manifold all the way back. Have a 323i myself (currently breaking) Lovely car, kept me in trouble free motoring for 4 years - 40,000 miles a yearI've heard that it free's up a few ponies, i've seen a few exhausts from 328i's on ebay and the like but i just need to know if it will fit on from the cat back or whatever. Really pleased with the car, paid peanuts for it and it is lovely. Seems loads quicker than the e30 325i sport i had previously too. Was looking for a saloon initially as i like the lines but this came up locally so i had to have it. I'll stick a thread up in readers cars when i get a chance.
