I spend several weeks a year in Germany and have rented an apartment in a village near the Office.
I noticed starnge behaviour from one of the neigbours in the few days I've been there.
Constantly in and out of his house, sitting in his Merc with the door open, looking worse for wear, bla bla bla.

Anyway I now realise he seemes to be pcensoredd most of the time.
Monday this week I pulled up and he was sat side saddle in the car feet on the road, head down.
Ten minutes later cars gone. Me thinks he's driven off.
I head for some shops and take the road around the back of the village and the Mercs there and neighbour fast asleep in the car.
Come back 15 minutes later he's taking a pcensoredss at the side of the car.

Since then there has been a lot of shouting from Mrs Pcensoredsshead with him hiding behind a tree with his car keys in hand. (trousers undone ???)

What obviously concerns me is that he's driving in such as state. I see a lot of kids in this village as there is a Kinder Garden.
I am amazed that other neigbours have not reported him driving.
Was thinking of starting a Coronation Street style Youtube saga culminating in Police raid made from receiving an annonimous tip off.
(sorry for any spelling, (BigAll can you add a sepell checker please).

He sounds like an alcoholic. It might be in his interests to be banned.

Report him. Denouncing your neighbours has always been a habit in Germany and this one deserves it (unlike me when they made complaints about my heinous crimes: washing my car outside my garage; not cutting up waste carboard into small enough pieces; and (when I lived in a flat) using the washing machine in the evening!

The Germans are not so keen to report drink driving IME..... However, in your shoes I'd report it, mainly because one night you might come home to find his car parked in your lounge...

Just to expand a bit more.
The guy only has one arm. My first reaction was "poor guy loves his car but cant drive it......"
I spoke to some people in the neighbouring village where I used to have digs.
They told me he lost his arm in an accident and that the VERY strong rumour was that it was a self inflickted 'accident'.
And yes, they confirmed that he is as weird as hell.

Not really sure why you have even come on here to get opinion on this. The fact that you have would suggest you are seriously concerned about it. Therefore, why haven't you already contacted the police?

Fair point but I dont particularly want to be ostricise in the village after only 2 weeks.
Just dont understand why they seem to turn a blind eye.

Would be easy to shop him. I'm back in the UK for 2 weeks from tomorrow and then 3 weeks in North America.
I'll wait and ask my Landlords when I get back.

Still now. The action taken is rather less drastic though these days.

Short update.

Spoke with my Landlord who tells me that only 8 months ago the nutter across the street wrote off a brand new E-Class Merc.
He managed to do this inside the village which has a 30km/h limit ?
He has no licence as he was banned 7 months ago.
But told me all this with a slight smile on his face.

Like I said, plenty of kids in this village.
Dont understand the attitude of the locals.

Final update.
Just got back from another trip to hear one armed man is dead.
Killed himself last week falling down while pissed. (banged his head).

(interesting is, the first thing everyone has said when I have spoke about it is "or was he pushed").

It's a terrible thing to say, and I wish no specific ill against the guy but it sounded not only inevitable but probably for the best, before he drunkely ploughed through a group of school kids on their way home or something else horrendous.
