Frozen Turkey, good to eat?

Hey guys, bought an additional frozen turkey before Christmas 2010 to use but after storing it in the chest freezer since we forgot about it. The best before on it is 26 Dec 2010, I have pulled it out the freezer to defrost yesterday with the intention of consuming it Sunday with the inlaws. My question is, will it still be good to eat? It was a quality frozen Waitrose bird if that makes any difference.

Should be ok as long as your freezer is working. Use your nose.

It will be fine I'm sure. I bought a whole leg of turkey from Morrison's the other day. Half had been boned (thigh) and the drum stick still had the bone in so I set about butchering it.

The tendons are unbelievable - like bone! I've now got a beautiful boneless roasting joint which would feed six adults easily. £4.30!

If you don't mind picking the tendons out, turkey drumsticks are great barbecued.

Real 'caveman' (or woman) food.
