Anyone know these T350Ts?
Discussion
Hi all,
new to the forum, but have read lots of the old posts, very useful stuff thanks.
Seriosuly considering a T350, and think i prefer the Targa. Does anyone know anything about either of these;

I note the Stephen James one is marked as sold on Pistonheads, but is still advertised on AutoTrader and also Ebay.
Many thanks,
Ridley

I don't know either of them but my first impressions;
The purple one - HIDEOUS wheels (and 19" will wreck the ride). When was the rebuild done and by whom? Any documentation to prove its a factory RR? Very poor advert and spelling would put me off, S/History and last service? And by whom? Full leather yet then states it has alcantara - the full hide is leather everywhere. I'd be wary it wasn't bison (plastic imitation leather) with alcantara. Looks to be running with quite a tall ride height, especially with those wheels. 400bhp? No way IMHO. Personally for the money I reckon you'd get much better. My 350t I purchased 2 1/2 years ago with 8500 miles on the clock for a grand less and it's been cherished.
The 2nd car - Lovely colour, nice interior with the full hide. Needs a service as last done a year and 6k ago - just noticed it says freshly serviced - has this been done in line with TVRs schedule? Rebuild in 04 a good sign and as long as the valves and compression check out it should be good for another 37k. Has the essential air-con. Would be my choice of the 2 providing it's still for sale.
Just don't rush out and buy the first you see - get a money pit and you'll be bankkrupt in no time. Where abouts in the country are you? If anywhere near Cambs/Beds I'd be happy to meet up, show you round mine and talk about the cars.
This one looks stunning - http://pistonheads.com/sales/2249958.htm though i must stress again its not a car I know.

The purple car was on sale back in 2009. It has a 4.0 not a 4.0S so likely to be more like 380 hp. If it is a red rose then you get a lot of upgrades such as brakes and exhaust. You might want to get some more history from the people who serviced the car. Real Red Rose cars are very rare, but without the right bills already paid (brakes and clutch, etc) this could be an expensive car to maintain.. This is my old car and it is a beauty. Was on SOR with Williams Motors over the winter months, but he liked it so much he bought it (for what I wanted as a private sale) for his showroom. I have a massive A4 file with Andrew Williams detailing the whole life history, all receipts and service records and all other sundry purchases. I also have a 12 page PDF on my computer with history and photo's if the OP is interested. Buy from an enthusiast or a 'proper' TVR garage and take your time!It was gut wrenching to let it go, but just replaced with a monza red Noble M12 GTO-3R which I collected yesterday - also an awesome bit of British machinery!
