Indicators & wipers...

Afternoon guys, a bizarre one to test your brains on.

Had a look at the indicators today as when I got the car out the nearside one had strangely decided to stop working. Diagnosed this to be a temperamental switch (which is still playing up as I didn't have a new one to replace it with). Upon refitting of said switch (which is a right nightmare) I turned on the ignition to check it and now the wipers are permanently running on the intermitant speed. Suggestions anyone?

have you managed to "stick" the wiper button on - stopping you cycling through to a stop? perhaps bridged a connection with your fixing of the indicator?

Haven't gone near the wiper button so maybe could have bridged something but god knows what as there isn't a great deal to touch under there. Have a feeling this one is going to take some serious investigating !

Did you take the steering wheel off to fit switch?
When I did mine I managed to pinch the wires going to the wiper switch causing a short.

No mate, just laid the seat back and managed to get right under the dash while on my back. Have my long weekend off this week so if the weather looks good i'm going to do that as that way i can get `right in there` and have a look.

Also, for the life of me, i can't seem to find a new indicator stalk anywhere on line. Anyone got any links to one?
