Ok, a tough one...

I'll be in Warrington for a few days and want to take my parents for a nice meal. It will have to be lunchtime, and the place will need to be dog-friendly as they won't leave their dog alone at home because he barks.

So I'm thinking a country pub, but must be proper food, not a Brewers Fayre/Beefeater/carvery type place. Willing to travel up to 30 miles. Any recommendations?

try the kilton

or better still try willow pool garden centre, in lymm, the food is great, and the place is amazing,
axe and cleaver towards dunham,
personal favourite is swan with two nicks between lymm and dunham, come out of the pub over the bridge and you are straight in dunham park for the dogs for free,
