Hi there,
First I wish to introduce myself.
My name is Marco, I'm italian, I live in Tuscan and I've got a Tvr 390se (originally LHD) to restore. Yes I know is not very common, but is the reality. I've just started remove the ancillaries, then I will continue with the interior.
My wedge was build in the 1987 I think. It did not come a long way, only 8000 km (5000 miles) but have lots of oxide everywere (on steel, on alluminium). The chassis is ok (no rust) but needs some attentions.
My programm is for a complete restoration, now I don't want think about money or time. Now I'm too enthusiast to look at problems.
Everyone who have something to suggest are welcome.
Regards

Hi everybody,
you are welcome in Italy.
I think there are about 30/40 tvr in Italy, from first Griffith 400 to last Sagaris.
If you want to prepare a meeting here... you need drive just only for 1k mile from London.
This is my first trip with a tvr.

Very dusty but now I've finished to clean outside.

Interior needs lot of works because a squirrel has lived inside for some years. I've found also pine nut shells in to engine compartment.
I start with tons of questions, but I think I’ll need to open some new threads.
What do you think about Steve Heath’s book “The TVR wedges”?
Do you know if exist a tvr historical register?
How can I do for insert a emoticon?

Hi Marco....and welcome.
The Steve Heath book (known as 'The Bible') is the one you need.
Any other help and advice you need in the future is HERE !
In fact the author of the book sometimes posts here too, and also owns probably the most powerful 'Wedge' on the planet.
Good luck with your project...nothing is too complicated on these cars, and there is nothing that has not already been repaired by someone on this forum.
I thought you would own a Tuscan, as you are from Tuscany.
edited to add: For emoticons go to the 'smilies' on the reply box.
