Discovery S1 or S2 Bike Rack help?
Discussion
I've done bikes with both S1 and S2.
On the roof is fine but I used big Thule cross bars rather than the factory rails, happily had four up there on carriers but you know all about it in a cross wind!
Also used a tow bar mounted unit, specially made for the car with an S shape to get around the spare wheel. That worked well and had space for three plus a lightboard. Fitted into a flange bolted to the bar.
I've still got the rear carrier, no use to me now as have moved on to a RRS and haven't got around to selling it yet. Too big to post but it's near Bath if of any interest.

Thanks chaps, it sounds as though I will have to go down teh tow bar route then... roof rails would be easier as no tow bar but will pop back and report back as you have been kind enough to reply!
And Bath isn't an issue as only up near Cirencester and any excuse to pop down and watch some half baked rugby...
(Obviously I am not a Bath fan...)
