Hi guys
first a quick rant then a request please
went up to the centre mk today with my wife for a bit of shopping, we locked our 2 bikes together and also to the parking hoops provided, it has a police office opposite and is well covered by cctv, we were in the centre maybe hour and a bit, come out to see 3 locks laying on the floor and my wifes bike(her xmas pressie)gone, and mine still leaning against the hoop now unsecured.
Finally managed to get through to the police, who to cut a long story short, offered a chat with a crime prevetion officer, then took umbridge when i suggested maybe a few more patrols!!!!
Sorry to go on but my wife is well under amused and ijust feel like kicking something.
Now to the favour part, if anyone is offered a cheap ladies spec carrera vulcan, can they let me know, i know we all like a bargin but at what cost, my wife is now afraid to go out, even though i told her just to ride mine for now.
spec= pearl white with blue graphic's/lettering
16"frame ladies carrera vulcan
white seat but quite stained blue from wearing dark jeans
Thanks all and sorry to on, but need to vent my frustation somewhere.

Sorry to hear that , plod are pretty ineffective at most things these days. It may help if you can post a picture of the bike.

If its rare, keep an eye out on eBay and GumTree. Mind, I'm not sure what you'd do if you found it!

Sorry to hear about that. A real stter for sure. I'll keep an eye out.

FWIW when you do get round to replacing, don't park your bike there again. My brother thought exactly the same thing, within sight of the police station = no problem. He came back to his bike to find someone had cut through half his lock.

In future there are some lamp posts just outside the food hall door to M&S. Lock 'em up here. Pleanty of foot traffic so a thief isn't going to try and cut through a lock there. the designated cycle park is simply too secluded and franky a bike thief's paradise.

Also, FWIW Evans have Kryptonite Evolution 2's on sale at £27 at the mo (ask them to give you the intenet price)
