Looking for a V8S
Discussion
I have been surfing pistonheads for well over a year now (also member of TVRCC) and whilst I was initially after a wedge 400se, I've now seen the light and would love to get my hands on a V8S, albeit I haven't got the budget for a minter. I have finally managed to pursuade the missus that it makes perfect sense and have done plenty of homework. I know V8S are fairly hard to come by but if anyone knows of any please let me know. P.S. I have tried to get in touch with the guy selling the one advertised on pistonheads (mica blue) without success, but I guess he's not too keen on selling at the moment. Thanks guys. P.P.S. Gotta change the name.....any suggestions???????

Hi chippy wedge.... yeah, gotta change that name if your serious about an S!
You certainly won't be dissappointed if you do go for a V8S. I've had mine for 5 months now and am really loving it. They are great cars.
Have you driven any yet?
True, there aren't many around, but keep and eye on these classifieds and you'll see a few pass through over time. Be sure of your budget, look at and drive a few, buy the 'bible' and you will achieve you goal.
I know of one down in this neck of the woods which I think is still for sale. Not sure what your budget is, but I know the car is a good one (I test drove it). Peninsual did had it advertised, may still have. It was our local TVRCC RO's car.

Sadly I haven't driven one yet but I just know that I will fall in love with first one I see/hear (usually a mistake I know) hence why I spoken with Rob at findasportscar.com so he can check it out first. I will eventually find time to go to the local TVRCC meet (mid Essex region) and drool over everyone's paintwork (hope it won't offend them!)
Rob Ingleby is a good chap (www.findasportscar.co.uk). I found my car first then got him to do a full inspection, report and valuation on the car. Well recommended. He'll also source the car for you if you don't have the time to trudge around the country looking yourself.
