Finished my wife's jag so today I took the bad master cylinder off to begin rebuilding it. Problem is I can't get the inner piston out. Tried attaching it to the compressor at work and still nothing, honed out the upper side as best I can, lots of brake cleaner and even a little heat but still can't get it moving. Any ideas?

I don't think I done the brake master on mine, but just apply a little pressure to the rod and pull out the circlip with circlip pliers.

Or.......do you mean you have the circlip out and it doesn't want to come out.
If it's that corroded inside...two options
1. toss it
2. Hone and brass sleeve back to spec.

If it's really bad (more than needing a kit) consider sending it to Apple to be refurbished. Just engrave it so you know you are getting the same one back. Not quite cheap but worked great. Grady

I got it. The 1st piston was a snap since you can get at it, as I said the 2nd piston was the problem as you can't pull it out 5 inches or so in there. The second one too 200psi and lots of duct tape over the other holes. Took nearly 10 minutes of pressure to get it far enough to pull it out. Sadly, it went back in today and, pressure is just as before. Ordered a new one.
