Ford Focus C-max
Discussion
Hello, new to the forum
.
I have me a C-max and i wanna install a universal backbox, with a 3.5 tip. Truth is, my exhaust is just about at the end of its life, blowing and all sorts. I want to get the backbox replaced with a section of pipe (as the backbox is in front of the rear axle) and then this universal backbox i have welded on the end, where the backbox belongs. What bugs me is the resonator, i searched abit online cause tbh i dont know what it is lol! anyway, it seems to be all american peoples saying stuff about their cars, but obviously its abit different here with mot's etc.
I heard if you remove the resonator you have brilliant sound, but poor performance - true/false?
Also, i heard that it'd fail an MOT if i don't have a resonator fitted?
My old 206 had the cat and a backbox, nothing more, so im trying to simplify it like the 206 was.
I'd like some advice on this please, yes or no good and bads to removing resonator
Thaaaanks - Dave
