NE Based XR2 - Info Required

Just taken delivery of a mint C Reg XR2 and i'm looking for some recommended garages and body shop to look after it in the North East area. There's a 2cm rust hole under 1 of the headlights that i want looking at as well as getting the underneath waxed before the winter.

How well did you check the car over when you bought it? The reason being is that these cars can hide their tin-worm well, because of the body kit.

Places to check are the battery tray and underneath it (you can check from inside the arch too), the inner wings, the outer wings (hidden by the plastic arches), the join between the front valance and the wings (that is where your problem is), the front of the sills, the rear of the sills, the boot.

Apart from that, all good!

I didn't check as was not in the area but an uncle did, reported back as the best XR2 of that age he's seen. The car is as factory, no welding and had been waxed since new. The Guy and his son i bought it off are both spot on, complete break down of everything they have rebuilt since they have owned it. All undersealed and waxed each year, engine removed for the engine bay to be repainted and sealed... the list went on.
