USA Sat Nav on Iphone?

[Henry Fiddleton]

Hi All,

I am off to the West Coast on Friday and I am looking at Sat Nav options.

Other than renting at the hire car desk, could I use my iphone as a sat nav out there without data charges?

I currently have N-drive for the UK.

Thanks,
HF

navmii do an app that doesn't use data, I bought it as an add on to the uk version I had installed previously. It actually worked better than my mates US tom tom. Think it was about £20 for the Uk and £5 for the add on, might actually have been Florida only though?

The maps function is handy when your walking about looking for shops etc, but does use data.
