Cerbera in the City
Discussion
Was visiting a friend in Bloomsbury at the weekend, decided to leave Friday lunchtime and feeling brave took the Cerbera.
Now, I'd have no issues taking the Chimaera there, traffic causes it no problems at all, but as this was my first with the Cerbera it'd be fair to say all went brilliantly. I was worried about overheating and clutch trouble. The traffic wasn't that heavy and we got to the hotel car park no problems - a very happy chappie
Coming out Saturday lunchtime was much the same story, perhaps a little more queuing but not a lot to write home about, dropped off the A3 at Guildford and popped in to Fernies to say hello.
My only slight concern was about 5 miles from home when the clutch got heavy and gear changes sticky, and by the time I got in my drive it wasn't fully disengaging drive. I had this happen once last year but no sign since, I'm guessing the under bonnet temps got the clutch fluid a little warm, but curious as to why it didn't happen on the way there as that was a non-stop journey and coming home we stopped twice.
Is there an 'upgrade' to stop this happening? Or is it a case of TADTS. I'll bleed the old fluid out but it'd be nice to stop it happening again.

You probably got more heat build up with the 2 stops as the car sat there and the heat from the cats soaked through the bell housing.. Even in slow moving traffic there will be more airflow.. I'm assuming you still have cats? I find that if you leave the car parked up after a hot run the gearknob will still feel pretty toasty

That is a very good point. Yes, I have cats but not quite standard so heat there certainly. Next time I'll just keep on driving!

Any recommendations? And how much do I need?
It might be an idea to get an infra-red didgital gauge which you could test several points under the bonnet and see if there's a build-up somewhere.
I did this and found that nowhere was hotter than 53 Deg - which I believe shouldn't affect these Oils.
I think it's always wise to check the reservoirs regularly. The clutch, certainly, to keep an eye on the condition of the seals.
Good Luck
