After much deliberation, I'm close to committing to a BR01-92. I don't want chrono dials, I'm 6'4" with wrists to match, and I've tried it on so I know it's not too big.

I've seen previous threads suggesting second-hand purchases due to the values likely not to hold. I'm not too bothered about that, I'm buying for me and not for my investment portfolio, but I'd consider 2nd hand if was a good 'un atthe right price.

New values seem to be fairly solid around £2750 - presumably the (fairly small) number of dealers have to abide by manufacturer figures?

If anyone can point me at a better deal, new or SH, I'd appreciate it, thanks.

Apologies for the slightly-OT, but I've always wondered how this can possibly be enforced: surely this is cartel behaviour? It's not just watches I've noticed it on either: try buying a new pushbike for significantly less than RRP...

It depends where in the country you are.

Jura and Kronometry 1999 are both good choices for London, outside of that I cant help.

Burrells in Tunbridge Wells do them as well.
