Odd car park damage incident...

Bizarre middle aged woman syndrome mental case, I think...
Was walking back to my car (old corsa), in the local supermarket car park, some woman was reversing her car out the space next to it, and just touched my bumper. Tiny scratch on mine, 5ish inch long scratch on hers. Was a newish Audi of some kind (07).
She saw me walking towards the car, got out and asked if I wanted to exchange details. I said "Yes no problem, but I am not interested in making a claim really"
She said "Oh right, let me get some paper out to jot down your details in case you change your mind"
I said "I am not really that bothered, my car is old anyway and I don't really want the hassle"
She said in quite an angry indignant voice "Well now my car is scratched and now I have to repair it!"
Me :
"Oh ok... well I am sure your insurance will cover it? Or a SMART repair?"
Her : "Well if you were not parked in such a stupid place, this would never have happened!!" (I am parked fully in a marked bay near the back of the car park, no other cars or walls nearby)
Luckily at this point, trolly guy who happened to see the whole thing and heard what she said offered to be a witness, at which point she tore my details out of my hand, muttered something about "no respect", got in the car and revved off down the car park...

If I was you I would have asked her if it was that time of the month.....Umm, not really. That would have really unleashed the mental!! whether it was or not.

It was in a supermarket car park, I was under the understand that, although private land, as it is accessible to the public normal road rules still apply?
Had a similar incident recently. I have reversed my car which is quite small into a row of cars. I could of gone back a bit more but im still further back than anyone else in the line of cars. As i get out the old boy in the row infront starts to reverse out. As im right behind him i pretend to look at something in my car to make sure he doesn't hit me. Low and behold crunch straight into my bumper. As he goes to drive away i politely tapped his window and asked him if he was going to check for any damage. Luckily no damage on either car so i tell him to forget about and leave. No apology or anything as i walk off he then tries to say it was my bad parking i should of gone back further..!!

I would make a claim against her. No point being nice with those type of people.
That would screw me over ultimately, car is only worth about £500 - new colour coded bumper would be near that cost. My car looks shabby but it is only 50k miles and mechanically very good. Plus as I have said, my insurance will only go up next year if I do so regardless.I am reckoning the large cost to her and hopefully her husband kicking her arse will be justice - and I always have trolly guy's statement to fall back on.

It is inevitable she will lie and try to claim off you as 100% at fault.
As said, keep the witness details, you'll probably going to need them.

I saw a middle aged woman reverse into my car and attempt to drive off. I ran after her and got her to stop and walk back to my car. She said I was too far forward (I wasn't) and that it was parly my fault because of this! My car was there some hours before she was.
She drove into her sapce forwards and could have reversed out (it was a bit tight) but decided to try and do a 5 billion point turn instead. She also decided the best course of action was to reverse with enough force to really give my car a good hit.
Oh, it was also my fault for not coming out to help her. The first I saw of it was when my work mate said "someone's just hit your car". I went to the window and saw her reverse into it the second time then ran after her.
