The mandatory "look at my new mk1 MX-5" post
Discussion
Having picked it up from Somerset several weeks ago I've finally gotten round to taking some pictures of the new P&J (had to remove the Lexus lights and horrible reflector overlays that said "MX-5" first.)
It was purchased after over a year of having no car. My previous ride was a Sorrento Green 1.9 205 GTI which I owned for 3 glorious years. Having then moved to central London from rural Essex I decided it was time to depart with it in exchange for an Oyster card.
That was only going to last so long
, so here is my toy for the summer and possibly beyond...

Needless to say I am VERY happy with this. Just a few things to sort for the moment. Probably need a new clutch slave cylinder as it is losing a bit of clutch fluid, new disks and pads as they are vibrating under braking, and either replacing the suspension top mounts with Mk2s or just getting a new set of springs and shocks as it's had lowing springs fitted to standard suspension and it very bouncy. This is very unnerving at high speeds.
All in all though, this was a very good purchase. God I love driving

Sorry missed out the important information. 1994 UK 1.8s. Had the sills and rear wheel arches welded and sprayed and I'm still unsure if it has an LSD or not (after a lot of....erm...testing)
Plus the wing mirrors haven't fallen off and the dip-stick handle is still intact. Bonus.
Done the burnout test? Plus the wing mirrors haven't fallen off and the dip-stick handle is still intact. Bonus.

lol little bit kinder to the clutch then :P
apparently you can jack up the rear and turn a wheel, if they go in the same direction then it is not LSD and if they go in opposite directions then it is LSD. Or the other way round... check t'internet for clarification
